On January 30th, 2024, Daranda "Dondy" Wealthy Sherman passed away. Devoted wife to the late David P. Sherman Sr. Beloved mother to daughter Laurie Sherman Platt and late son-in-law John D. Platt Sr. and also son David P. Sherman Jr. and daughter-in-law Alisa Sherman. Sister of the late Wilbur D. Parks and late Barbara J. McNeal. Grandmother of John D. Platt Jr and Rachel Platt. Dondy is survived by an extended family that includes in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Born on July 12, 1941 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she moved to Baltimore, MD as a young child, where she would spend the rest of her life. Services will be held privately and interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
