Maria Anna Rad of Baltimore, Maryland died on Monday, June 12,2017. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 18,1950. Pre-deceased by her parents, Luba and John Rad, and her uncle Andrew Rad who emigrated from the Ukraine after surviving the devastation of World War II> She is survived by her brother, Igor Rad, of Baltimore, Maryland and her brother and sister-in-law, Adrian Rad and Aviva Nebesky, of Bowie, Maryland. Maria graduated from Patterson High Scholl, Baltimore,MD class of '68. She received a B.A. from the University of Maryland and a M.A. in Slavic Linguistics from the University of Illinois. She worked ar Mercantile Bank and Trust Company. Maria was also passionate about languages and music. She taught language, music and piano. Family and friends may gather at LILLY & ZEILER INC. FUNERAL HOME, 1901 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore,MD 21231 on Thursday, June 15,2017 from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
