IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Bohdon
Wojtowycz
August 23, 1953 – May 7, 2018
On May 7, 2018 Michael Bohdon Wojtowycz, was called home to be with the lord. Michael was the beloved father to Joseph Wojtowycz with his wife, Deidra, and Katelyn Brewer with her husband, James. He was a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Natalie and James, along with being a dear brother to John Wojtowycz, Catherine Panowicz and the late Lisa Wojtowycz. Michael is also survived by his 4 nieces and a nephew.
Michael was born on August 23, 1953 to Mychajlo and Sophia Wojtowycz, immigrants from the Ukraine. During his younger years, Michael had a love for soccer and was actively involved in the church at a young age. As he continued through young adulthood, Michael continued his passion for soccer and attended The University of Baltimore where he received a Masters of Science in Business Administration.
Michael was a devoted father who knew the importance of religion. Michael's love for God and his church were clear through his daily actions and his regular attendance at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church. His free time was spent at his favorite place, Ocean City, Maryland where he enjoyed spending time with his children and family whether it was lying in the sun, swimming in the ocean or fishing at night. He always found peace listening to the crashing of the waves.
Michael began his career working at Anne Arundel General Hospital before moving onto a career as a government employee in Baltimore City running the Lead Paint Prevention Program. His path led him to Anne Arundel County where he worked as a supervisor in the Animal Control Office for 11 years before his retirement in 2014. In retirement, Michael continued his work with the church and was able to spend his time with family and his four grandchildren.
Family and friends may gather at Lilly & Zeiler Inc. Funeral Home, 1901 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD, 21231 on Wednesday, from 11 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm with Parastas Services at 7 pm.
