Obituary

Beloved husband, father and brother Raymond Adelard Peloquin (Ray) passed away peacefully on November 5 surrounded by his family and friends after a long illness.

Ray was a wonderful husband, friend to many, mentor to several young engineers at work, an exemplary father to his children. Many of his summers were spent in Southern Maryland with his family sailing, hiking, and creating new adventures through shared experiences with all those he loved. Ray loved his travels on road and water with his much-loved BMW motorcycle, sailboat, and on the world's best ski slopes with his trusted friends and family.

Steadfast in his faith, Ray always shared his Catholic beliefs with others through both words and actions. For many years he served as a mentor in Big Brothers of America, volunteered in multiple parish events and served as President of the Men of Calvert Hall.  Ray was dedicated to his Jamaican mission trips at the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf. He found solutions to life's most difficult challenges through prayer and unwavering trust in God.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Ray graduated from University of Rhode Island with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in French. He was instrumental in the formation and early years of club ice hockey at URI. Ray launched his career at Bethlehem Steel but was most proud of the special relationships he formed during his 39 years at Cummins Wagner. He excelled in fostering new business relationships leading to further development of the employee owned-business while mentoring young engineers along the way.

Ray leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years Mary Elizabeth Peloquin of Baltimore MD; his children: Katelyn Joanne Tixier, her husband Florent, of Columbus OH; Kelly Rose Peloquin of New York, NY; and Christopher Lucien Peloquin of Lusby, MD. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Peloquin (wife Susan) of Ocean View, DE; Dennis Peloquin (wife Patricia) of Lewes, DL; Robert Peloquin of Lewes, DE, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday November 12 at St. Casimir Catholic Church 2800 O'Donnell Street, Baltimore, MD 21224 immediately followed by a celebration of life luncheon.
