Raymond "Uncle Ray" Szczerbicki passed away on May 6, 2017. Uncle Ray was born on June 26, 1928, the youngest son of the late Frank and Jozefa (nee Krusinski) Szczerbicki, Raymond had over one dozen brothers and sisters, all of whom have preceded him in death. He was born and lived his entire life in the family home on Chester Street and was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. Uncle Ray proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. After serving his country, he began working for General Motors, Fischer Body Plant, in Baltimore and ultimately retired from there in August, 1982. He savored the bounty of the Bay, eating crabs or oysters or clams whenever he could. He enjoyed watching the O's and the Ravens and on "special" occasions he was known to drink a Coors Light or two with family and friends. Uncle Ray was a loving and generous man who faced every day and every person with a smile. It was impossible to get to know him and to not love him in return. He has left us all with many lasting and loving memories. Being around him made each day a special occasion. "Nostrovia", Uncle Ray! We love you!
