Celebrating the Life of Susanne Fowler

November 8,1955- December 20,2024

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Susanne Fowler, who passed away on December 20,2024 after a brave battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Born on November 8,1955 in Baltimore, Maryland to Richard and Ann Fowler, Susanne brought light, love and laughter to everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of joy and kindness.

Susanne's family was the center of her world. She was a devoted mother to Brian Gosnell (Christine), Sandra Keller (Daniel) and Karina Hart (Chris). Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren: Austin, Collin and Dylan Keller; Blake, Owen and Grant Gosnell; Gavin and Camryn Rector; and step-grandchildren: Jacob and Taylor Hart. Sea Sea never missed a game, milestone or moment to cheer them on, and her boundless love and support will forever remain in their hearts.

She is also survived by her three loving brothers and sister-in-laws: Jim & Kathy, Stewart & Susan, and Tommy & Patty Fowler, along with all her nieces and nephews. Susanne had a wide circle of cherished friends who became family through her love and generosity.

Susanne dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse at Stella Maris before retirement. Her compassion and skill made her a trusted caregiver and an inspiration to her colleagues. Her ability to bring comfort to others was not just her profession but her calling, one she fulfilled with grace and kindness.

Beyond her family and career, Susanne had a deep love for nature, particularly the beach. She found peace and joy in the sand and water, whether hiking along the Ma and Pa Trail with friends and her dog, Fritz, or spending time at Assateague Island marveling at all the wild ponies. The beach was her happy place where she could connect with the beauty and serenity of the world around her.

A joyful celebration of Susanne's incredible life will be held in the near future. When we have details, we welcome you to join us. In the meantime, we would love to hear stories and see pictures of laughter, and memories that reflect her vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to: https://assateagueislandalliance.org/collections/assateague-island-horses In her memory, we would love you to foster one of the horses she loved to visit "Dewey". "Seases Bay Breeze" or "Susi Sole" honoring her love for Assateague.

Susanne would not want us to mourn but to celebrate the life she lived. Her love, laughter, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
