Rev. Thomas B. Loftus,C.Ss.R., of St. John Neumann Residence died May 31,2015 at the age of 83. Father Loftus was born and raised in the parish of St. Ephrem in Brooklyn,New York. He was affectionately known by his family as "Tucker" and by his confreres and parishoners as "Fr. Tom". Fr. Loftus was the former pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Baltimore, Maryland. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas B. Loftus and Mary (nee Curley) Loftus and a sister, Helen Chow. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Frances), Gerard, Michael, William (Janice) and Daniel Loftus (Joan). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and his Redemptorist Confreres. Father Loftus will lie in state in the Chapel of Stella Maris on Thursday, June 4,2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
