Margaret Veronica Murphy (Stilli)

Baltimore, MD - Margaret Veronica Murphy, known to her loved ones as Peggy, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born on August 26, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Charlotte R. Lauer and John Lauer.

Peggy will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sharon A. Cosentino (nee Stilli) and Lisa A. Wolf (Greg) (nee Stilli), as well as her brother, John (Jack) Lauer, and sister, Patricia Pena (nee Lauer). 

Cherished Aunt of Edward J. Lauer, Jr. and Traci L. Swanson (Jay).  Loving Sister In Law of Peggy P. Lauer.  She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, Edward Joseph Lauer, Sr., and her loving husband, James Murphy.

The Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2023 4p-7p at: Lilly & Zeiler Inc. Funeral Home, 1901 Eastern Avenue Baltimore, Maryland 21231

A Catholic Mass will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10 a.m. at: St. Leo's Catholic Church 227 S. Exeter St., Baltimore, Maryland 

Immediately following, a luncheon will be served at Chiapparelli's on High Street In Little Italy.The Family requests a headcount for your attendance.

The family also requests that no flowers be sent at this time.   A donation to The MDSPCA or The American Heart Association would be welcomed and appreciated.   

Peggy was a beautiful and very special lady; a powerhouse in a tiny body.  Peggy’s daughters describe her as tough, but fair, driven by love.  Her warm presence and kind-heart touched the lives of so many.  She was a hard worker and committed to perfection.  But her true love and commitment was to her family and friends, for which she will be remembered immensely.  Peggy will continue to be loved and missed.  May her soul rest in eternal peace.
