Sr. Ann Dolores Keeley

Sr. Ann Dolores Keeley (Margaret Mary Keeley) was called to the Lord on May 28,2025. Sr. Ann was born on May 28,1928 in Baltimore and is predeceased by her parents, William J. and Doris Mae (nee Crowe) Keeley, and a brother, Joseph D. Keeley. She received a diploma in nursing from Mt. St. Agnes College in 1958. While working as a nurse at the White Sisters' Catholic Mission Hospital in Fort Portal, Uganda, she met the Little Sisters of Jesus and joined their community in Washington, DC in 1962, taking the name Little Sr. Ann Dolores.

Over the past 63 years, Sr. Ann dedicated herself to the Little Sisters' mission of a contemplative life among the people, living in different communities in the USA- Chicago, Boston, the Circus, Gallitzin,PA, Washington,DC and finally in Baltimore- and working in manual jobs, with S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) in Washington,DC and Canton Harbor Future Care in Baltimore.

For the last 12 years, Sr. Ann Dolores lived in the Jenkins Senior Living Apartments in West Baltimore along with other Little Sisters. Sr. Ann Dolores was a joyful person with a ready wit, and very committed to her Catholic faith. Her peaceful presence will be greatly missed by the Sisters of her community and many friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on June 10,2025 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home Chapel, Baltimore, MD at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Gallitzin, PA
