He loved to teach children both in Ukrainian School & the Ukrainian American Youth Association where he devoted himself in teaching mandolin, Ukrainian history & culture. He directed & wrote theatrical productions; Ted even painted the scenery. He also painted the signage on the Ukrainian American Youth Building on Eastern Ave. Many of his paintings reflected his memories of his Ukrainian homeland. He enjoyed photography & taking movies. He also created movies featuring his illustrated story boards depicting Ukrainian fairytales that he wrote &/or scripted. He did this & more while working full time at Kopper’s Co. & Ward Machinery as a Draftsman. Ted always credited God with giving him his talents and sense of purpose.
